Dental Implant Services
Lifetime Dental is proud to offer a variety of dental implant services and tooth restoration procedures. We perform dental implant surgery and treatment for singular or multiple teeth. So, whether you’ve lost one tooth, a few teeth, or most of them, we can help give you a second chance to have the smile you deserve.
Dental Implant Procedure
Most dental implant procedures begin in a similar fashion, regardless of the number of teeth being replaced: a preliminary exam and molding. To receive dental implant services, you must have healthy gums and surrounding teeth. Those with active periodontal disease are not good candidates for dental implant treatment, as the implants themselves are anchored by the jawbone and gums. Your dentist will determine if your gums and jaw are in good health, then he or she will take an impression of your teeth so the replacement tooth can be custom-made for your mouth.
You will then need to have dental implant surgery. Your dentist will place a metal (usually titanium) post into your gums and jaw, which will later serve as an anchor for the tooth restoration. If you are receiving a bridge, your dentist will reshape the adjacent teeth to the implant(s) and add crowns to the implants, adding stability. Of course, if your implants become damaged, we also provide a range of advanced dental implant restoration services.
Are Dental Implant Services Right for You?
Dental implant services are ideal treatments for those with missing teeth due to accidents or injuries and who have healthy gums and jaws. Those with gum disease or surrounding tooth decay may not be able to have a successful dental implant treatment. Dental implant services are excellent solutions for people who find dentures uncomfortable or problematic, or those who require only one or a few teeth replaced.
If you have missing teeth and would like a more permanent solution than dentures, dental implant services might be right for you. Find a Lifetime Dental office near you or contact us online to schedule an appointment today.
