Dental Bonding Services
Dental bonding is one of the easiest dental procedures, and it is relatively inexpensive. Bonding is a method used in both cosmetic dentistry and restorative dentistry at Lifetime Dental. Typically, dental bonding procedures take 30 to 60 minutes per tooth.
Cosmetic Dental Bonding
Cosmetic dental bonding refers to the use of dental composite bonding to correct the appearance of crooked, dull, or discolored teeth. These dental bonding procedures usually require the abrasion of the surface of the tooth, providing a rough surface for the composite resin to stick to. Your dentist will then adhere the resin to the tooth and finally shape the resin to match the shape and texture to the surrounding teeth, concealing uneven, crooked, or discolored teeth. Cosmetic dental bonding is often used for fixing gaps in teeth, fixing teeth of uneven height, and whitening teeth that are resistant to other forms of whitening.
Restorative Dental Bonding
Dental bonding services can also be a form of restorative dentistry. White dental fillings are one variety of dental bonding, using the same dental composite as used in cosmetic dental bonding. These fillings are used to repair cracked or chipped teeth, fill in cavities, and repair and prevent tooth damage caused by decay.
